Faculties of the Department of Anatomy and Histology are listed below:
Research Interest: Broad field of anatomical, histological, histochemical, immunohistochemical, electron and scanning electron microscopy; and molecular biology. Anatomy, Histology and Histochemistry: Focusing on the anatomy, histology, and histochemistry of jugular vein, bones, and muscles; liver and other visceral organ of black Bengal goat and other small and large domesticated animals. Immunohistochemistry: Working on the T cell subpopulation, B cell, and Immunoglobulins-containing plasma cells in the Lymphoid organs, Harderian gland and mucosa-associated- lymphatic tissues in the local chickens, broilers and hybrid chickens of Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Japan. Electronmicroscopy: have interest on macrophages of oviduct and lymphoid organs of chickens. Molecular biology: cloning of cDNA and overexpression in E. coli of aphrodisin gene of syrian hamster using RT-PCR, extraction of DNA product, sequencing, using restriction enzymes, preparation of SDS-PAGE gels, mass-spectrometric analysis by voyager-DE-STR MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer. Molecular detection of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermis (MRSE) isolated in raw chicken meat. Prevalence of Salmonella sp. in African catfish (Clarias gariepinus), Serotyping of Pasteurella multocida of ducks, and molecular detection of Cellular Prion Protein in Brain Tissues of Black Bengal Goats in Bangladesh.
